Brighton
A relaxed beach suburb with great views and a great lifestyle
Brighton, Adelaide (10-15km)
Brighton is not in a hurry. This is a relaxed and peaceful beach suburb that people rarely want to leave. There are big brick and limestone houses, wide streets, expensive real estate along the Esplanade, an old style cinema, and a good but small cafe strip. The beach is quiet, clean, has a good jetty and good views. Brighton is popular with old timers, middle class families, and older professionals who don't dig doof doof. It is a much quieter, smaller and nicer version of Glenelg. Overall, it is one of the nicest suburbs of Adelaide. (More information below and to your left <<<).
Parking is usually OK but can get hard on a hot summer's day. Vibe: a walk along the beach. Shoe equivalent: thongs, Colorado. Would suit: families, older people, professionals, executives. Location: beach. Distance from city centre: 12km. Direction: south west. Postcode: 5048
