Kedron, Brisbane (6-10km north)

Kedron is a large down to earth suburb that's very family friendly. It used to be an area that only those on lower incomes lived, but gentrification has filtered in, yet not excessively so. This suburb is still relatively affordable and has a welcoming feel. There's a huge rambling park, renovated and unrenovated Queeslanders, new town houses and older flats.
