Armadale
A very wealthy upper middle class suburb in blue ribbon property territory.
Armadale, Melbourne (inner south-east)
Armadale is a haven for executives and wealthy families with smart children who go to private schools, and young women who dream of getting married. This is a very picturesque upper middle class suburb that screams moola, and respectable professions. It exists in a highly mono-cultural bubble where bogans (uncultured types) dare not tread. This is conservative politics territory. The main shopping strip, High St, has plenty of wedding gown stores and is busy with mums having coffee, kids after school checking out the shops, and locals going about their every day things. Traffic can be a nightmare during the morning and afternoon peak hours. Grrrr. The architecture is incredibly appealing, if you like Victorian and Federation buildings. The streets are well maintained as are the houses and gardens. This is a very safe, pleasant suburb that will hold plenty of appeal for families and executives.
