Dianella, Perth (north)
Calling all families! Dianella awaits! Talk about family friendly, this place ticks all the boxes. It’s an established community minded suburb with parks and open spaces, and decent sized homes at prices that won’t give you a heart attack. This place also appeals to retirees, and to students from Edith Cowan University (ECU) in Mount Lawley.
Dianella is north of the city centre. It has a shopping mall and a few fast food outlets, a church, and a library. There are frequent bus services to the city centre or ECU. The freeway is close by which makes it a convenient place to travel to and from. It’s not the most vibrant of suburbs, but then again not everyone wants to live in a happening place. Warning, if you are a party type single or childless couple with no intent on having kids, you might find this place a bit of a yawn.
Despite the positives, there are some people, though, who say Dianella has changed and attracted a few rough tough types. But that seems to be a minority.
