Chatswood is a shopping, business and transport hub on the north shore. There are a huge number of shops here, upmarket labels, upmarket Chinatown, great food and lots of activity all week. It's a family suburb with plenty of larger homes in beautiful tree lined streets. There is also a good supply of apartments and townhouses most of which are on the larger side and are well kept. Chatswood is on the train line from the city, and has dozens of bus services, making it very accessible by public transport.

Chatswood tends to attract families, couples, and overseas students. It’s a pleasant, safe suburb with picturesque streets to walk through. It's particularly popular with wealthier Chinese families.

Parking can be hard during peak times. The vibe: shopping heaven, good family times. Shoe equivalent: Colorado and strappy sandals. Would suit: ages 20+, students, families, professionals, anyone who likes convenience, the quieter life, and shopping. Location: parks. Distance: 8km from the city centre. Direction: North.
