Hawthorn is a large, almost eclectic suburb. It has executives and upper middle class families who live in big houses and send their kids to posh private schools; and it has a university (Swinburne), plenty of students, a couple of cool cafes, cheap Asian food, blocks of apartments, and great public transport.
